About this Episode

Paule Patterson leads us through the third chapter of James, and what we can learn about controling our speech from it, as we continue our series on the book.

Sermon Notes:
James 3:1-12
Matthew 15:10-11
Proverbs 17:28
James 3:13-18
Proverbs 15:4

Implications:

  1. Words are the most powerful force available to you. No other tool humanity has has caused more pain or healed more wounds.
  2. How you speak reveals the truth of your heart and character.
  3. Our problem is how we speak often causes destruction, and the life we could speak we withhold.
  4. Real Faith is life giving.

Production Note: at 41:57 Paule is telling his son Isaiah to go sit down as he was tracing patterns on the carpet and had wandered to the front of the room. It was pretty funny, but didnt really make sense on the recording.
